How Fight Times Work
Most sports sites show times in ET or PT, forcing you to do the mental math. Fight Starts eliminates the friction by syncing directly with your device's internal clock.
01 // Local-Time Sync
We detect your browser's IANA Timezone string. Whether it's UFC in Paris or Boxing in Riyadh, our system calculates the UTC offset in real-time. The time you see is the time you watch.
02 // Main Event Estimates
Broadcast start times are often misleading. We use a proprietary Hybrid Estimate Logic: for major cards, we input manual ringwalk data. For others, we apply a discipline-specific decay model (5h for Boxing, 6h for MMA) to predict the walkout.
Detailed FAQ
“What time does the UFC fight start in my country?”
Fight Starts detects your local timezone automatically using your browser's IANA timezone string. Whether you are in the UK, USA, Australia or anywhere else, all UFC, ONE Championship and Boxing start times are converted to your exact local time instantly — no manual conversion needed.
“What time is the main event walkout tonight?”
Our engine uses hybrid logic to predict walkout times: for major title fights we use manually verified ringwalk data. For other events we apply a discipline-specific offset — approximately 5 hours for Boxing and 5 hours 50 minutes for MMA — from the official broadcast start time. The prediction is accurate to within roughly 15 minutes.
“How accurate are the ONE Championship and Muay Thai times?”
Yes. ONE Championship and Muay Thai events are typically faster-paced than MMA cards, so we apply specific offsets tuned to those promotions. The walkout estimates for ONE Friday Fights and ONE Championship main events are calibrated separately from UFC and boxing cards.
“Why do other sites show times in ET or PT?”
Most sports sites broadcast from a US-centric perspective and show Eastern or Pacific time, forcing international fans to calculate their own local time. Fight Starts eliminates that friction entirely — the time shown is always your local time, on any device, in any country.
